One of the best things about the Lisbonaire Apartments is their location.
Located in the heart of the old town, you are just a short stroll away from some of the most important and charming "bairros" in Lisbon where you will live distinctive and unforgettable experiences.
Around the corner from the apartments is Avenida da Liberdade, a tree-lined boulevard with gardens and outdoor cafés, where some of the best international brands have set up shop.
Close by is Baixa Pombalina, which was rebuilt after the 1755 earthquake under the government of Marques de Pombal. It has unique character, with its orthogonal streets lined with numerous centuries-old shops and traditional restaurants, that end at Terreiro do Paço, one of the largest and most imposing squares in Europe, located by the river Tagus.
Next is the spectacular Castle, dating back from the foundation of Portugal in 1147. It sits on top of the oldest part of Lisbon, Alfama, and offers magnificent views over the city. Chiado, the eminent cultural quarter, is home to literary cafés and clubs, bookstores, theaters and the Opera House. Bairro Alto is the bohemian district of Lisbon, where you can get lost in its labyrinthine streets and find the most original and unusual stores by day and countless bars by night. Both are within walking distance of The Lisbonaire.
Minutes away from our location you can easily take the 15 tram to Belém or the train to world-heritage Sintra.
Rua da Glória, where we are located, is tucked behind the main streets and extremely quiet, with hardly any traffic. Ideally situated, it is only a short distance away from the subway, train station, aerobus, supermarkets, convenience stores, post office, police station, ticket office, restaurants, bars and the main tourism office in Lisbon.
